Four Position Statements are in front of the HOD this year. South Carolina has had a hand in three of them. A position statement is AMTA’s position on professional or public policy issues that relate to the mission and goals of the Association. It is the position of The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) that massage therapy can be a valuable component of a wellness program.
It is the position of the American Massage Therapy Association that massage therapy can be an integral part of health care.
It is the position of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) that newborns (especially pre-term infants) may benefit from massage therapy.
It is the position of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) that massage has been shown to aid in postoperative pain relief.
